Window Graphic Info:

Window graphics are either adhesive backed vinyl (solid or perforated) or static cling that has been printed and cut to a shape or design. Window graphics can be cut to simple shapes (squares, rectangles, and circles) or complex designs.

Window graphics on window perf can be laminated with optical lamination for easy viewing. Solid vinyl can be laminated with gloss, satin, matte, or dry erase. Static cling cannot be laminated. Lamination not only changes the sheen, but it extends the life of the window graphics by protecting against fading from sunlight.

Window Graphic Types:

Window graphics have quite a few options because we have a lot of materials, and can print up to very large sizes.
Typically window graphics are done on window perf because it allows you to see out through it, as well as still allowing some light to pass through. Static cling is another popular option, because it's easy to install and remove, however they are typically used for short term (of often changed) graphics. Also; any solid vinyls such as white, clear, or specialty vinyl will work as well.

Window perf cannot be contour cut, so it must be hand cut into simple shapes or designs. Window perf is typically used to cover the entire window, so usually is square cut. Static cling can be cut into any shape or design, and so can the solid vinyls.

Window Graphic Uses:

Window graphics are often used to brand a building, add information/hours to a window/glass door, and for promotions/sales.

Window graphics can also be used to block out sunlight and add exterior and/or interior decoration.

Materials for Window Graphics:

We touched on the many options for window graphics above; such as window perf, static cling, and solid vinyls such as white, clear, etc. Here's a more detailed break down of the materials that can be used:

Window Perf/Cling

Window Perf: We stock 2 different types of window perf, one for vehicles and the other for buildings. Window perf is vinyl that is perforated (covered in small holes) so that you will still be able to see out of the window as well as still allowing some light to pass through.
Cling: Static Cling. This is a film material without any adhesive on it, it sticks using static and is made for windows and mirrors. Static cling comes in clear and white.

Vehicle Grade: 3M SV480mC (premium plus), 3M IJ180mC-10 (premium). These are the high-end, vehicle grade materials.
Premium: Orajet 3169 (removable),3M IJ40 (removable), 3M IJ35 (permanent), Low Tack (removable plus), High Tack (permanent plus). These are materials for mid to short term applications.
Intermediate: Orajet 3164. This is an affordable option for mid to short term stickers, and/or giveaway/handout stickers.

Optical Clear: 3M IJ8150. This is a high-end clear option, that when applied to glass or other clear surfaces doesn't show the clear parts of the vinyl like other options will.
Standard Clear: Arlon 4500. This is the standard mid to short term clear material.
Translucent: Arlon 6500. This is a partially clear, milky white vinyl that allows light to pass through while still being white enough to allow ink colors to show/pop.

Reflective: 3M IJ5100. This is a vinyl that will shimmer and shine when exposed to light, usually used for street/construction stickers/signs, but also makes for a very unique sticker.

We also have a large selection of colored cut vinyl (ranging from standard colors like blue and red, to specialty colors like gold leaf and chrome) that can all be printed on, or cut out just using the one color.
