What is a kiss cut sticker?
Well, in the digital print world there are typically 2 different types of sticker cutting: kiss cutting and die cutting.
Die Cutting: Is when the backing paper is cut to same size and design as the sticker.
Kiss Cutting: Is when the backing paper is a square or rectangle that is larger than the sticker itself.

But in this post we’re going to go over the ways to maximize the use of your stickers by utilizing the extra room around each sticker.
When you kiss cut a sticker you tend to have extra room on each side, 99% of the time a business will leave this space blank. Because it is blank it usually gets weeded away and is just left as white backing paper. What people don’t tend to realize is that by leaving that space blank, you’re missing out on a good amount of print space.
You can make the most of that space by adding in a little more that might not necessarily make it on the sticker.
Add a Logo

Add a Design
Take that extra room you have and add something that makes you stand out.
Good things to add would be things that people wouldn’t necessarily want on the sticker, but you want them to see. This could be your logo, event dates, extra information, contact information, addresses, designs, colors, etc. By adding that stuff to the sides of the stickers you’re insuring that people will see it without sacrificing people wanting it or using it.
